InkSpace Imaging makes comfortable, patient-customized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) surface receive coils, that help MRI operators decrease their costs by increasing patient comfort and the speed of exams.A Spinoff from UC Berkeley, they developed a novel manufacturing method to make extremely lightweight, flexible and low-cost MRI coils. Printed and flexible coils can ensure a systematic, comfortable fit to the patient for any size, shape or body part. In particular, printed coils could help increase the use of MRI for pediatric patients and limit the use of general anesthesia.
