The company's first product, the Stixfresh stickers, has the potential to do just that. Stixfresh can reduce specific fresh fruit waste across the entire supply chain by extending its shelf-life and keeping them fresher. The Stixfresh technology consists of an FDA-approved sticker that is coated with our patent-pending formulation, which is composed of 100% natural ingredients. The sticker is peeled and applied to the surface of certain fruits in order to extend its shelf-life by up to 14 days. The formulation includes compounds that work together to create a protective layer around the fruit, which slows down the ripening process. Independent studies have shown that fruits treated with the Stixfresh sticker have increased sweetness, higher retention of moisture, and sustained cellular structure resulting in increased firmness.
