Founded in 1996 by Rajesh T.S. Reddy, Unimobile.com's headquarters are in Silicon Valley with engineering and development offices in Bangalore, India.In 1996 Unimobile.com developed the first of its kind advanced two-way Internet and E-mail to Paging Gateway for Page Point services (a Motorola company). Between 1997 and 1998, Unimobile.com tied up with multiple telecom service providers in India and Southeast Asia to provide Internet to SMS based gateways and services. In 1999, Unimobile.com tied up with AirTel (British Telecom joint venture) to provide the first Internet to Cellular Gateway in India. In parallel, Unimobile.com developed Web based virtual network that enables direct messaging to more than 330 networks across 65 countries.Unimobile.com implemented its keen understanding of the mobile Internet in the form of Unimobile which was conceptualized and built for consumers to manage their mobile lifestyles. Unimobile was deployed in late winter '99.In Spring '99 Unimobile.com sought and obtained venture capital from leading firms Walden International, Draper International and KB Chandrasekar, founder-chairman of Exodus. In January '00, Vas Bhandarkar joined Unimobile.com, Inc as President & CEO.
