Kevin J. O'Connor, M.S., PA, is president/CEO of LifeCenter Northwest in Bellevue, Wash.

He has served in numerous OPTN/UNOS capacities for nearly 20 years. He has been on the membership and professional standards committee and on its policy compliance and performance analysis and improvement subcommittees. He also has been a member of the OPO, operations and safety, ad hoc international relations and kidney transplantation committees as well as its kidney allocation review subcommittee.

O'Connor is a member of the HRSA/Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance quality task force and served as co-director for the U.S. Organ Donation and Transplantation Breakthrough Collaborative from 2005-2007. He also is on the donation board of directors of the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation and on the board of Community Tissue Services, Life Alaska Donor Services and Donate Life America. He is a member of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations' (AOPO's) legislative and regulatory affairs committee and on the advisory committee for the annual meeting. He has chaired AOPO's procurement directors council, co-chaired its technical assistance program and served as a member of its executive committee and its future directions initiative task force. In 2005, he received the AOPO's "excellence in leadership" award. He recently completed a three-year term on the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients scientific advisory committee.

He holds a master's degree in administration from Boston College and a bachelor's degree in health science from Northeastern University in Boston, where he also completed the physician assistant program.
