In addition, Liberty Global provides telephony services that include circuit-switched telephony services and voice-over-Internet-protocol (VoIP) telephony services, as well as offers mobile telephony services using third party networks. Further, it owns programming networks that provide video programming channels to multi-channel distribution systems owned by it and by third parties. As of December 31, 2008, Liberty Global owned and operated networks that passed approximately 34,275,100 homes, as well as served approximately 15,608,200 video subscribers, 6,201,300 broadband Internet subscribers, and 4,644,300 telephony subscribers.
