Adam Marcus is a Managing Partner at OpenView Venture Partners, where he focuses on partnering with exceptional entrepreneurs to build category leading companies. Adam particularly likes large markets dominated by clunky, flat-footed incumbents. He currently sits on the boards of FieldAware, Kareo, Instructure, Monetate, Signpost, Spredfast, Instantly, and UnBoundID.

Prior to OpenView, Adam was an entrepreneur, lead Corporate Development at the Boston Celtics, and most recently was an investor at Battery Ventures. He has also been involved in board positions of J. Hilburn (which he seed funded), a board observer at ExactTarget (ET, acq by SFDC for $2.7B), and was actively involved with Cortera.

Adam is active in social entrepreneurship and is on the Board at Compass Working Capital, which helps low income families achieve their dreams and become financially secure. He is also a founding member of the First Growth Venture Network and on the Executive Committee. Adam has been a long-time advisor to and supporter of Grassroots Soccer, a nonprofit working to eradicate Aids in Africa through the power of soccer.
