Alex has the rare combination of true technical and business acumen and brings his extensive expertise in cloud services, e-commerce and global business. He leads all aspects of product and engineering at Rakuten Viki, with the goal of building the strongest fan community and delivering the best user experience. Prior to joining Rakuten Viki in 2015, Alex spent 10 years at Microsoft, where some of his many accomplishments include helping to launch the R&D center in Shanghai and drive the company’s product strategy in China. He also led the development of Microsoft’s billing and payment platform. Alex’s past work experiences include being a founding member of a new business venture for cloud infrastructure at Cisco Systems.
