As the U.S. investment arm of China's Innovation Works (AUM: $1.2 billion), Idea Bulb Ventures invests in start-ups in the U.S. in early stages (seed/Pre-A/A/B). The investment focuses are: 1) hardware/advanced tech, 2) education tech, and 3) developers tool. Angela leads deals in edtech and hardware, her portfolio includes ClassWallet, Swivl, Swing Education, and VIPKid.

Before moving to Silicon Valley from NYC, Angela led research in China macroeconomics and China-US cross-border investment at Rhodium Group, a boutique advisory firm. Angela holds joint Master's degrees in international finance and journalism from Columbia University, and graduated with honors. Prior to moving to the U.S., Angela was a researcher for The New York Times in Shanghai, covering China's economy, technology and art news.
