Anthony Nappi is Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer for Citi in Asia Pacific, with overall responsibility for the Operations, Technology and functional groups across the region, including Human Resources, CSIS, Corporate and Government Affairs and Compliance, ensuring that they are all aligned to underpin Citi's strategy and growth plans. Based in Hong Kong, Anthony reports to Stephen Bird, Chief Executive Officer for Citi in Asia Pacific. Prior to this role, Anthony was Region Head of Citi Transaction Services, a business unit of Citi's Institutional Clients Group. Citi Transaction Services is one of Citi's publicly reported businesses lines, offering Treasury and Trade Solutions and Securities and Fund Services to corporations, governments, financial institutions and investment advisors worldwide. Consistently recognized as a pre-eminent provider, under Anthony's leadership, Citi was honored with multiple awards, including The Asset's "Best Transaction Bank in Asia" award in 2012. Anthony's banking career spans more than twenty years. He started as a management trainee in Citibank in New York, and has worked a number of roles including business management, financial control, operations, customer service, product management and sales. He has worked in New York, Florida, Chicago, Singapore and Hong Kong. In 2011, The Asset named Anthony "Transaction Banker of the Year" for a second time, announcing "Nappi could put another feather in his cap as GTS Asia became the number one contributor to Citi's valuable GTS franchise globally," and highlighting that as our industry emerges from the financial crisis, "Citi has stayed the course with Nappi the steady hand at the helm." Anthony was the first-ever recipient of this award in 2008 and is the only individual to have won this prestigious award twice. In 2010, Anthony was co-named AsianInvestor's Custody Banker of the Year, where he was acknowledged for "a vision that not only advances Citi's interests, but is helping the industry at large."
