Avidan Ross is the Founding Partner and Managing Partner of Root Ventures. Before founding the firm in 2013, he designed industrial robotics for the Food Network's kitchens. Before that, Avidan was the CTO of CIM Group, a $15 billion investment firm, where he focused on industrial internet investing. Previous to CIM, Avidan worked as an embedded network application developer at Excite@Home. Away from work, Avidan spends time cooking, glassblowing, and working on his new book about coffee around the world. Avidan has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia University where he focused on networking protocols. Avidan previously worked at Food Network as a TV Pilot Host / Food Robotics. He attended Columbia University in the City of New York.
