Bethany Mayer has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Ixia since September 2014 where she is responsible for driving the vision and operation of the company. Bethany brings over 25 years of technology experience to Ixia and joined the company from HP where she held several key executive roles since 2010 and most recently served as HP's senior vice president and general manager of its Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) business and led the company's NFV initiative. Previously, Bethany was senior vice president and general manager of HP's Networking Business unit, where under her leadership the business unit delivered 12 consecutive quarters of growth. Prior to that, she was vice president, marketing and alliances for HP's Enterprise Servers Storage and Networking Group. Prior to joining HP, Bethany served as senior vice president, worldwide marketing and corporate development at Blue Coat Systems, and has held roles at Cisco Systems, Apple Computer, Lockheed Martin, and smaller technology companies. Bethany serves as a Director on the Sempra Energy (NYSE: SRE) Board of Directors. She holds a BS from Santa Clara University and an MBA from California State University, Monterey Bay. In 2015, Bethany was named by CRN as a Top 25 Disruptor in the technology industry due to her years of leading breakthrough technology developments including Software Defined Networking and Network Function Virtualization.
