Bill is a Cofounder and Partner at Flare Capital Partners, a team of proven healthcare technology venture capital investors known for delivering unparalleled strategic industry resources, insight and a total commitment to the success of the entrepreneurs with whom we have the privilege of partnering. Prior to starting Flare Capital Partners in October 2013 with its inaugural fund closing in April 2015, Bill was with North Bridge Venture Partners since its founding in 1994.

During Bill's twenty-year tenure investing in young and emerging healthcare companies, he has served on the Boards of numerous industry-leading companies and played a critical role, actively helping and working closely with management teams. His current and prior healthcare investments include Aetion, Bright Health, ClearDATA, Curisium, HealthReveal, Valence Health (Evolent Health), VisitPay, Humedica (Optum Analytics), SynapDx, Connance, Pharmetrics (IMS Health) and eBenX (ADP). Previously, Bill was a Partner at Hambro International Equity Partners. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer of MathSoft, a science and engineering applications software start-up that subsequently went public on the NASDAQ and was later acquired by Parametric Technology Corporation [NASDAQ: PMTC]. Before MathSoft, Bill worked for Congoleum Corporation, where he helped structure and raise the capital for its successful $500 million private buyout, and was a CPA in the Boston office of Arthur Andersen & Company.

Bill holds an undergraduate degree from Boston College's Carroll School of Management and has served his alma mater in a variety of capacities, including former Chair of the Board of Trustees and current member of its Investment & Endowment Committee. Additionally, Bill has been Chair of the Parents Committee of Duke University and of the Parents Advisory Board of Stanford University, served on the Board of Overseers of Brigham & Women's Hospital and on the advisory boards of Boston Children's Hospital Technology Development Fund, Joslin Diabetes Center, the Center For Connected Health at Partners HealthCare and the Dept. of Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School.
