Bruce Peacock joined Ophthotech in September 2010 as the Chief Business Officer. Bruce Peacock brings a wealth of business development and life sciences industry expertise to Ophthotech’s management team with over 30 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology experience.

Bruce Peacock was honored with Pennsylvania Bio’s 2011 Hubert J.P. Schoemaker Leadership Award. The award is named for Dr. Hubert J.P. Schoemaker, one of the bioscience industry’s leading entrepreneurs, and recognizes an outstanding leader in the biosciences community who best exemplifies the spirit of innovation in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and has demonstrated a vision for the industry and a vision for improving the lives of patients.

Prior to Ophthotech, Bruce Peacock was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Alba Therapeutics, The Little Clinic, Adolor Corporation and Orthovita, Inc. He has also held senior management positions at Cephalon, Inc. (Chief Operating Officer) and Centocor, Inc. (Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer). In addition, Bruce Peacock has served as director of Alba Therapeutics, Adolor Corporation, Orthovita, Inc. and Cephalon. Bruce Peacock currently serves as a Venture Partner with SV Life Sciences Advisors, LLC.

Bruce Peacock holds a B.A. degree from Villanova University is a Certified Public Accountant.
