Bryan T. Southergill (Hong Kong) joined KKR in 2013 and is a member of the real estate team. He has led the build out of the Asia real estate investing platform, working closely with the existing country teams. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Southergill was managing director and head of Asia Real Estate Investing in J.P. Morgan's Global Special Opportunities Group, where he led its proprietary, special situations-style, real estate investing business in Asia. Prior to that, he was deputy head of Asia Real Estate Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley. During his time at Morgan Stanley, he was based in New York, London and Hong Kong, and had responsibility for both principal investing projects and corporate finance advisory assignments in the United States, Europe and Asia. Mr. Southergill served as a director of many entities involving the real estate investments of J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley, including the AIM-listed Songbird Estates (Canary Wharf). He holds a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Economics and Political Science from Amherst College.
