Catherine Zhou is EVP and head of Consumer Bank at East West Bank. She is responsible for all aspect of the growth, execution and operations of the retail business. Her current focus is to build leading digital capabilities to help accelerate the growth of the bank, engage existing customers more efficiently and effectively. Before joining East West Bank, Catherine was a senior partner at PwC and served as the Digital Services Leader with PwC’s Financial Services practice. She is deeply connected to the financial centers in New York, Asia and Europe while resides in Silicon Valley, San Francisco the Bay area where her root has been, working with start ups and technology giants in developing digital first businesses. She represents the combination of the left brain of an engineer/ statistician by training (from Carnegie Mellon University) and right brain (marketer for fortune 500 companies and practitioner of the experience economy).Catherine is a active speaker at industry conferences, she was the keynote speaker for Women in Payments 2016, she chaired the Netfinance conference 2015 on Mobility and Innovation, she was the key note speaker for American Banking Association Marketing Conference 2014 and chaired the Internet Marketing Association Conference in 2012. She is the Co-author of “The Social Media Management Handbook”.
