Christopher Lai is an investor and the director of consumer and retail investments at Horizons Ventures, the private investment arm of Mr. Li Ka Shing. Based in Hong Kong, Chris invests across the technology landscape globally and manages the consumer and retail technologies portfolio for Horizons. Chris was previously a M&A banker in New York with Mooreland Partners, specialising in TMT cross-border M&A and corporate finance. He was a key team member on numerous transactions, including Magnolia in the sale of its patent portfolio to Google; Newbay’s acquisition by RIM; and Xigo acquisition by Dimension Data.
