Cindy Eckert is on a mission—to make women really rich. She has spent over 24 years investing in and mentoring other women, making the world a little more pink. She has made waves by defying traditional norms and delivering big outcomes. Here’s her story.

Cindy’s breakthrough was in 2011 when she founded Sprout Pharmaceuticals, offering the first-ever sexual dysfunction medication for women. She sold Sprout in 2015 for $1 billion, but then eventually bought back the company and brought it back under her control. Before Sprout, Cindy launched Slate Pharmaceuticals and sold it in 2011 to Endo International.

After her successes with Slate and Sprout, Cindy founded The Pink Ceiling, an incubator dedicated to supporting mission-driven companies. The businesses that The Pink Ceiling invests in are groundbreaking, innovative, and most importantly, created for women or by women.

Cindy’s successes have been featured in major media outlets, and she is proud to be able to share her story to help other female entrepreneurs. As CEO of The Pink Ceiling, Cindy is commonly referred to as the “Pink Boss” and is continually rewarded by watching the companies she has worked with make a positive impact on people’s lives.
