Daniel Oros joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers as a partner in 2009. He is a member of the greentech team, where he focuses on investments in the Green Growth Fund. The Green Growth Fund focuses on adopting solutions to combat the world's climate crisis and using natural resources more efficiently.

With over a decade of investment experience in energy, financial services, manufacturing, and logistics, Daniel Oros brings a unique skillset to G2VP. In 2009, Daniel joined Kleiner Perkins and led investments for the Green Growth Fund before co-founding G2VP. Daniel’s primary focus has been on rapidly growing technology companies in the industrial, consumer, and financial services sectors. Dan is a Board member at Fictiv, an observer at Turvo, and led G2VP’s investment in Carbon. He also serves as a Board member at Optoro, a Green Growth Fund portfolio company.

Before joining Kleiner Perkins, Daniel was a vice president at Goldman Sachs in the Special Situations Group and a founding member of its alternative energy investing team, where he eventually led the team’s solar initiatives, where the portfolio included First Solar and SunEdison. Before joining the Special Situations Group, Daniel was an FX trader at Goldman Sachs, making markets in the euro and Swiss franc.

Daniel holds a B.S. with distinction in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. An outdoorsman and conservationist, he serves on the board of the Ocean Conservancy and the Advisory Board at the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment.
