David Bornstein is a journalist and author who focuses on social innovation. He co-authors the Fixes column in The New York Times Opinionator section, which explores and analyzes potential solutions to major social problems. He is the co-founder of the Solutions Journalism Network, which supports journalists who report on constructive responses to social problems. David is the author of The Social Entrepreneurship: What Everyone Needs to Know, The Price of a Dream: The Story of the Grameen Bank, and How to Change the World: Social Entrepreneurs and the Power of New Ideas, which has been published in 20 languages. His articles have appeared in the Atlantic Monthly, the New York Times, and many other publications globally. He co-wrote the PBS documentary “To Our Credit.” He is the founder of Dowser.org, a Web site for young journalists devoted to uncovering stories of change and social innovation. David lives in New York City and is currently completing a book on social innovation in the U.S. and Canada.
