Donald is a founder of indie and our chief executive. A native of Scotland, Donald studied at the University of Glasgow, earning a M.Eng. He began his career as a design engineer at Wolfson Microelectronics specializing in mixed-signal design. He then moved to Thesys (now XFab) in Germany before moving into marketing and later on management. He has also worked for Fujitsu, Axiom and Conexant in the UK and in the USA.

Donald is a big sports fan and when not supporting fellow Scot Andy Murray in tennis, he enjoys American Football and is a long-term supporter of the Scottish football club Partick Thistle.
