Eli Manning was chosen first overall in the 2004 NFL draft out of Ole Miss by the San Diego Chargers. He was immediately traded to the New York Giants and went on to lead the team to Super Bowl victory in the 2007 season, and into Super Bowl XLVI in the 2011 season.

College Football Career

Eli Manning was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1981. In 2000, he enrolled at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), where both his father and brother Cooper went to college. He played quarterback for the Rebels for four years while at Ole Miss, and put up outstanding numbers, including 10,119 passing yards (fifth on the SEC career list), 81 touchdown passes (third on the SEC career list), and a passer rating of 137.7 (tied for sixth on the SEC career list). During his senior year he won several awards, including the Maxwell Award as the nation's best all-around player and the SEC Player of the Year award.
