As Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Dock, Fred Amaral focuses on propelling the entire ecosystem of digital banking and payments in Latin America forward. Fred leads Dock’s technology, product, marketing, operations, and talent recruitment teams. He also oversees the company’s creative direction and the rapid growth of its banking-as-a-service vertical.

Fred helps companies implement the best experience possible for their customers, whether it’s through card issuance, digital banking, acquiring, or compliance and risk solutions. His ability to see around corners and future-proof companies has had tremendous impact on clients, partners, and employees.

Passionate about the future of work, Fred is a strong advocate for the company’s flexible work culture. He led the organization’s implementation of its “anywhere office” model, a first-of-its-kind in the region, and is known for his ability to boost performance and help employees realize their true potential.

Prior to Dock, Fred was Head of Business Development and Logistics at Movile and Head of Business Development at Uber. Before entering the technology sector, Fred had a renowned career working in capital markets, M&A, and investment banking. He previously worked as an investment banker at Deutsche Bank and BTG Pactual.

Fred studied Economics at the Universidade de Sao Paulo. He currently resides in Sao Paulo with his wife and children.
