Hwee Hua Lim serves as a Senior Advisor of KKR & Co. L.P.Lim served in the Singapore Parliament from December 1996 to May 2011. She served as Investment Analyst at Schweizerischer Bankverein. She served as Head of Research and Director of Business Development at Chase JF Ltd. She served as Head of Research and Director of Business Development at JP Morgan Securities (Far East) Limited.

Lim was a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore until May 2011 and concurrently as Second Minister for Finance and Transport from April 2009 to May 2011. Since 2006, she was a Member of Parliament for Aljunied Group Representation Constituency office, and was also Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for Transport.

Lim served as Senior Minister of State for Finance and Transport, Singapore Since 2008 and was Minister in the Prime Minister's Office since 2009.Lim was elected as a Member of Parliament for Marine Parade Group Representation Constituency in both the 1997 and 2001 Singapore general elections. From 2000 to 2004, she served at Temasek Holdings Pte Ltd., as a Managing Director of Strategic Relations.

Lim focused on shareholder value, corporate governance including board matters and shareholder relations for investee companies. In 1989, she joined Swiss Bank Corporation Overseas Finance as an Investment Analyst and moved to Jardine Fleming Securities Limited in 1992, where she served as Managing Director from 1992 to 2000 and also served as its Head of Research and Director of Business Development.Lim enjoyed a varied career in financial services, including stints at Jardine Fleming from 1992 to 2000. She was Deputy Speaker and served as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee for Singapore Parliament.

Lim has been an Honorary Chairman of Securities Investors Association (Singapore) since October 21, 2013. Mrs. Lim has been a Non-Executive Independent Director of Jardine Cycle & Carriage Ltd. since July 29, 2011. She has been Independent Non-Executive Director at United Overseas Bank Limited since July 2014. She has been Director at BW Group Ltd. since January 2014.

She serves as Director of Westpac Institutional Bank. She has been an Independent Non-Executive Director at Stamford Land Corporation Ltd since July 26, 2012 and serves as its Lead Independent Director. Lim serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director on Global Advisory Council at Ernst & Young LLP. Her directorships include: Fullerton Management Private Limited, The Harbourfront Pte Ltd., Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd., PSA Corporation Limited, Singapore Pools (Private) Limited and Temasek Management Services Pte Ltd.

She served as a Director of Singapore Post Limited from March 2003 to August 11, 2004 and a Non-Executive Director of Keppel Corporation Ltd. since 2003. She is a Director of PAP Community Foundation.Lim is a well-known figure in business community, having distinguished herself in top leadership positions in government and leading institutions.

She first obtained her Master/Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Mathematics and Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 1981 on a Singapore government’s overseas merit scholarship. In 1989, she obtained an M.B.A., major in Finance from the Anderson School of Management, University of California at Los Angeles.
