Isabel González Mieres holds a MSc in Electrical Engineering by the University of Oviedo (Spain). She is certified as PMP by Project Management Institute and has done Postgraduate studies at European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) from Berlin. Isabel started her professional career in Yorkshire (UK) in a Gen Set manufacturing company where she worked some months before joining thyssenkrupp in Spain where she is working since 1998. She started in thyssenkrupp Norte, manufacturing center of escalators and moving walks as Project Manager mainly for projects in Spain, Portugal, Latin America and Turkey and later she was appointed as Sales Manager for South of Europe. Since 2010 is Head of Projects at thyssenkrupp Elevator Innovation Center, the Global Research, Development and Innovation Center that thyssenkrupp has in Gijón (Spain). There, in addition to managing research and innovation projects, is responsible for Intellectual Property coordination for escalators and moving walks worldwide.
