James brings twenty years of experience documenting and caring for priceless objects in the museum and heritage world to gathering and organising the information which forms Mattereum Asset Passports. Prior to joining Mattereum, James served as a curator and educator for a number of museums in the US and the UK, most notably as Royal Armouries Curator of Collections at the Tower of London. He received his PhD in 2018 from the University of Southampton analysing medieval arms and armour to better understand how they were used.
