r. James Lawson, also known as Jim, serves as Chief Operating Officer, Managing Partner and Chief Legal Officer at AdTheorent, Inc. Mr. Lawson is also a Managing Partner of Mogility Capital, which is an investor in AdTheorent. Mr. Lawson is an attorney and entrepreneur who specializes in launching, supporting and monetizing technology and new media organizations. He served as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer of Augme Technologies, Inc. (formerly Modavox Inc.) from July 2009 to June 16, 2010. Mr. Lawson served as the General Counsel of Interactions, Inc. and served as its Vice President of Business Development. In this position, Mr. Lawson was responsible for representing the legal interests of Interactions and ensuring compliance by Interactions and its affiliates of applicable legal and regulatory requirements. As a Member of the business development team, Mr. Lawson also contributes to the creation and growth of new markets for the application and use of Interactions technology and services. He served as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at Augme Mobile. Prior to Augme, Mr. Lawson offered legal and business support services to growing businesses and private equity backed startups as both a member of a management team and a consultant. He served as Vice President of Business Development at Interactions, Inc. Prior to joining Interactions in 2006, Mr. Lawson was a Partner in the Washington, DC office of the law firm McDermott, Will & Emery, LLP. He has served as General Counsel and executive level management to several VC-backed and publicly traded companies. In his 10-year law practice, he represented Fortune 500 companies and growing businesses in both litigation and counseling capacities with respect to a wide range of legal matters. Mr. Lawson has appeared before state and federal courts and has a record of accomplishment representing clients in complex regulatory filings, petitions, conciliation agreements and related negotiations involving federal, state and local authorities. Mr. Lawson has negotiated sub-specialty areas of multi-million and billion dollar corporate transactions, including employment, employee benefits and tax matters and has advised corporate boards of directors regarding fiduciary considerations and corporate governance. He serves as a Director at AdTheorent, Inc.
