Jason Chao focuses on investments in the technology sector, specializing in cloud computing, big data, and smart manufacturing. He actively seeks cross-strait investment and business opportunities between Taiwan and China, and specifically collaborates with the Taiwan Mobile Innovation (TMI) team in Taiwan.

Before joining WI Harper, Jason was a software engineer at Silicon Motion Inc., a NASDAQ listed company in the multimedia semiconductor sector, where he was fully engaged in technology trends in the semiconductor and multimedia technology space.

Besides his experience in technology, Jason interned at Concord Venture in Taiwan as an Investment Associate, participating in industry research, deal sourcing and financial modeling.

Jason also worked as a summer associate at BNY Mellon Asset Management in Boston, focusing on quantitative analysis of fund investments.
