In 2013, Jay Parikh joined the Board of Directors at leading enterprise software company Atlassian. As vice president of infrastructure engineering at Facebook, Parikh, leads the engineering and operations teams responsible for building and maintaining the company’s infrastructure that serves more than one billion users, developers, and partners worldwide.

Prior to Facebook, Parikh was senior vice president of engineering and operations at Ning, where he oversaw the scaling of the company's social networking platform from 50,000 to more than 1.5 million social networks. Before Ning, Parikh was vice president of engineering at Akamai Technologies, where he helped build the world’s largest and most globally distributed computing platform. He worked as a senior consulting engineer at NetGravity and began his career as a consultant at Andersen Consulting (Accenture).

Parikh is a member of the Advisory Council of Big Data Fund 2 and the Board of Advisors of Ooyala, Inc. He also serves as an advisor of Revinate, Inc., and is a technology advisor to several early-stage companies. He has filed several U.S. patents. Parikh holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech University.
