Jean-Paul (“JP”) joined HSBC in 2012 in the Prime Finance Division. His focus since the announcement of the Shanghai Hong Kong Connect in 2014 has been “China” where JP was instrumental in defining, implementing and marketing HSBC’s Stock Connect cross-product proposition across equities, foreign exchange and custody for clients investing in A-shares for the first time.

In an expanded role JP is currently responsible for advising clients on implementation of their China strategy as it relates to inbound and outbound China access across asset classes through QFII/RQFII/Stock Connect, MRF, and more recently London –Shanghai Connect.

With almost 20 years’ experience in the banking industry, JP has held various roles in London, New York and Hong Kong across equity derivatives, flow equity swaps, Delta One origination, and structuring product.
