Joachim Schindler is a Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Centogene AG since 2014.

Previously, Joachim worked with accounting firms, since 1989 he has been with KPMG. Joachim is a Chartered Accountant and a Tax Adviser. Joachim’s experience ranges from servicing medium size to very large clients in Audit, Tax and Advisory. The focus has been for more than 20 years on multinational companies and how to service them in the best possible way. During this time he spent three years in London. Joachim served in a number of key leadership positions. In addition to serving as Head of Audit and a Member of the Managing Board for KPMG Germany from 2004 to 2012, Joachim was Head of Audit for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region from 2005 to 2010 and Global Head of Audit and a Member of the Global Executive Team from 2010 to 2013.

Joachim also serves on the board of a non-profit hospital group. In 2013 Joachim additionally started to advise this group in finance and strategic matters in a fairly comprehensive way.

Joachim regularly lectures on accounting and auditing and has published several articles in professional journals. Joachim is an Honorary Professor at the Freie Universität Berlin.

Joachin earned his Ph.D. degree in Economics from University of Hagen and Diplom-Kaufmann degree in Economics from University of Cologne.
