Joan Lamm-Tennant leads Blue Marble Microinsurance, a startup that extends socially impactful, commercially viable insurance to the underserved. She is also senior research fellow at the Wharton Risk Management and Decision Process Center. In addition, Dr. Lamm-Tennant serves on the boards of Hamilton Insurance Group, Ltd., Element Financial Management Corporation, Ambac Financial Group and The Institutes’ Board of Trustees. She earned a Ph.D. in Finance and Investments at the University of Texas, as well as an M.B.A. in Finance and B.B.A. with Honours in Accounting from St. Mary’s University.
