Joaquim Lima joined Riverwood Capital in 2011 and focuses on Brazil and Latin America investments. Prior to joining Riverwood, Joaquim worked as an Investment Officer at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), primarily in the Latin America region.

While at IFC, Joaquim focused on growth equity investments in the information technology, business services, IT/telecom infrastructure, internet and media sectors, based in Washington DC and São Paulo, Brazil.

Previously, Joaquim held positions in corporate development, M&A and investor relations at Brasil Telecom, as well as in the Investment Banking Department at Citi in Brazil where he focused on mergers and acquisitions in the telecom, media and business services sectors.

Joaquim graduated from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) with a BSc. in Business Administration and received his MSc. in Finance from the Cass Business School at City University London, where he was Chevening Scholar.
