Prior to joining Emergent Payments as CFO, Joe Podulka was a CFO, VP Finance at Hearst Corp. where he led the Accounting and Finance functions for the San Francisco Chronicle and SFGate.com. He also spent 11 years at eBay/PayPal in a variety of roles in the US and abroad. In his last role at eBay/PayPal, Mr. Podulka led a team that evaluated all new business for PayPal globally. This included M&A, large commercial deals, strategic partnerships, and new products. These helped drive growth within mobile, digital goods, demand gen, consumer/merchant credit, point-of-sale, geographic expansion, and other emerging opportunities.

Mr. Podulka has built global teams and functions from the ground up, consolidated operations and refocused failing businesses, managed P&Ls, acquired companies, and provided strategic insight to both large and small organizations.

He's earned degrees from Michigan State, Michigan, and Stanford universities.
