Josephine Chen is an Investor at Emergence Capital. Josephine is passionate about data-driven enterprise businesses, particularly those looking the transform the healthcare and life sciences spaces.

Prior to joining Emergence, Josephine worked at McKinsey & Company. She advised large organizations, ranging from governments to Fortune 5 companies, on growth and innovation in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and technology sectors. Prior to McKinsey, Josephine has experience working in growth equity and product management.

Josephine graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University, where she was a Mayfield Fellow, a founder of several social entrepreneurship initiatives, and a member of the Stanford Venture Capital Club. She is an avid fan of musical theater and enjoys reading about World War II and Greek and Roman mythology.
