JP Gan is a Managing Partner of Qiming Venture Partners. JP Gan was ranked #38 globally by Forbes Magazine’s Midas List in 2016 and has been named a top ten venture capitalist in China by multiple magazines and institutions including the Forbes China, ChinaVenture, CBN Weekly, and The Founder several years in the row. His successful investments include Meitu Inc. (1357.HK), Ctrip.com International Limited (CTRP.Nasdaq, a director since 2001), Dianping.com (merged into China Internet Plus Holding), Jiayuan.com, Taomee, ATL, and PPS Inc. (sold to Baidu). Previously, JP Gan spent five years at The Carlyle Group and was a founding member of Carlyle’s Asian venture fund. He also worked at KongZhong Corporation as its Chief Financial Officer, as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch, and as a consultant at then-Price Waterhouse. JP Gan obtained his BBA from the University of Iowa and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a member of Chicago Booth’ Global Advisory Board.
