Working for the U.S. Department of State as Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment, Keith Krach leverages more than four decades of executive experience to lead the US' international economic diplomacy portfolio. The Senate unanimously confirmed him to the position on June 20, 2019. Previously, he led DocuSign as president, CEO, and chairman for 10 years. Credited with creating the category of digital transaction management, Keith Krach grew DocuSign from a startup into the global leader in this new sector. The company was ranked third on Forbes’ World's Best 100 Cloud Companies and earned the Glassdoor Best Places to Work Award.

While leading DocuSign, Keith Krach also served as chairman of the board of trustees at his alma mater, Purdue University. Over the course of six years in this role, he helped develop a new STEM education model and oversaw record research funding and higher retention rates. He also recruited former Governor of Indiana Mitch Daniels to serve as the university’s president. Krach's leadership experience additionally extends to Sigma Chi Fraternity, where he served as international president from 2003 to 2007.

From 1996 to 2003, Keith Krach was the chairman and CEO of the pioneering business-to-business e-commerce company Ariba. Now part of SAP, Ariba processes more than $1.7 trillion in transactions per year. Krach was also a founding member of Rasna Corporation and served as its COO from 1988 to 1995, during which time he developed the category of mechanical design synthesis software in conjunction with the company’s other leaders.

Keith Krach worked at General Motors from 1977 to 1987, ultimately becoming its youngest-ever VP. He received full scholarships from GM to earn a bachelor's degree in engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In 2018, Krach was awarded an honorary doctorate in industrial engineering from Purdue.
