Ken Okwero joined Safaricom in the Year 2001 and has held several positions within the Technology Division. His most recent role was Head of Products & Services Department where he led value based and strategic selling for technology based products and services. Ken took over as Head of Strategy in September 2015; his key mandate being to lead, facilitate and oversee the process of reviewing company strategy in tandem with the changing contextual environment as well as strategic dialogue on behalf of the company.

Ken holds a Telecoms mini MBA from Informa Telecom University of South Africa, a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University of Nairobi, IMIS higher diploma from Strathmore University and several Strategy and Management certifications from International Institutions. He is currently completing an Advanced Management Program at the Strathmore University.
