Kevin J. Harkenrider is a senior vice president at [ViaSat](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/viasat#/entity), a manufacturer of satellite and other digital communication products that enable secure communications to any location. Previously, he served the same company as the chief operating officer.

Prior to joining ViaSat, Harkenrider was the chief operating officer of WildBlue, where he was responsible for integration of the subsidiary following its acquisition in 2009. He has over 30 years of prior operations experience, including numerous senior management positions at Computer Sciences Corporation, General Dynamics, and BAE Systems.

Harkenrider holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Union College and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
