Kiran Bhatraju is an entrepreneur and environmentalist from eastern Kentucky coal country. Kiran is the founder and CEO of Arcadia, a climate crisis-fighting technology company focused on unlocking unprecedented access to clean energy options for consumers and businesses across the U.S. Previously Kiran founded another venture-backed climate tech company, American Efficient, that aggregated energy efficiency in wholesale power markets. He started his career on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide to Congressman John Yarmuth (KY-3) focusing on national security and energy issues.Kiran serves on the board of AppHarvest, building North America’s largest controlled-environment agriculture facilities growing pesticide- free produce, and the World Wildlife Fund National Council. Kiran has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
