Klaus W. Hambuechen is an experienced executive in the healthcare industry, currently a Partner and Investor at The Angel's Forum (Silicon Valley). He is also serving as Consulting Professor with the Department of Radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine.Hambuechen is former CEO of Siemens Healthcare Business Units and member of Board of Directors at Mochida Siemens Medical Systems in Japan, with business and device technology knowledge in several medical imaging areas including Interventional Radiology. His main interest is in disruptive technologies capable of enhancing diagnostic and therapeutic performance in the fields of Life Science and Medical Devices. In addition, he mentors responsible leaders in the start-up phase and coaches entrepreneurs in strategic decision making and partnering. He is experienced in applying process management tools to enhance development and business results; prioritizing - People (1), Processes (2) and Product (3) - sequence to identify problems and execute solutions; and, applying a challenging perspective on a business model to better define customer benefit, time-to-market, risk and financial opportunity.Hambuechen serves as an Advisory Board Member at Siemens Technology-to-Business (TTB) Center, a department of Siemens Corporate Research (Berkeley, CA) and at Mobisante Inc. (San Francisco, CA).He is currently on the Board of Directors of OncoHealth, Inc. (San Jose, CA) and on the Scientific Advisory Board of BellBio Systems, Inc. (Palo Alto, CA). He holds a Dipl.
