Larry Godec is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of First American Financial. In that capacity, Godec oversees the strategic architecture, business process management, applications development, data center operations, infrastructure and core technologies that support the business.

Godec started with First American in 1999 as the Chief Information Officer for First American Tax Service Company located in Dallas, Texas. In 2001, he moved to the corporate office in Santa Ana, California as the Chief Information Officer for First American Title Insurance Company. Godec has more than 25 years of experience in all facets of information technology. Prior to First American, Godec held senior technology management positions at Nissan North America and Dr Pepper/Seven-up.

Godec has a B.S. in Mathematics from Colorado State University. He has been involved in numerous professional and community organizations including Southern CA CIO Forum, CIO Executive Governing Board, Society of Information Managers, Data Administration Management Association and Software AG International Users Group, where he served as president for two years.
