Leo Jiang is the Senior Vice President & Deputy Chief Technology Officer of Alibaba Group.

Leo Jiang is a Senior Vice President of Alibaba Group with a focus on overseeing the shared services business as well as facilitating the creation of a cross-platform technology team that serves suppliers engaged in domestic trade.

He has also been Deputy Chief Technology officer since May 10, 2013, supporting Chief Technology Officer Wang Jian in laying a solid technology foundation for Alibaba Group’s future service innovation.

Leo joined Alibaba Group in January 2000 and held senior positions in the technology development department within Alibaba.com until May 2003, after which he joined the team that later established Taobao.

Since 2005, he has served in various management roles within Taobao’s technology development function. He became Vice President of Taobao’s consumer business department in August 2009, responsible for products and operations of the Taobao consumer-to-consumer marketplace.

Before taking over the shared services business in January 2013, Leo served as president of Taobao Marketplace.

Leo Jiang holds a Master's Degree in Water Resources & Hydropower Engineering from Tsinghua University.
