As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Asia-Pacific, Magnus is responsible for driving technology alignment as well as long term technology strategies for Ericsson in Asia-Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Magnus is part of the global CTO organization and reportsdirectly to the Ericsson Group CTO. Prior to this role, Magnus was CTO for Global Customer Unit Vodafone, a position he held for three years (2012-2014). Magnus led the commercial introduction of HSPA when he headed Product Line WCDMA/HSPA from 2004-2010 before moving on to drive Ericsson’s mobile broadband strategy as Head of Mobile Broadband Engagement Practice. Magnus holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden) and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University (Ithaca, N.Y.,USA).
