Maria Yao leads the full breadth of delivery operations across Alight Solutions. Responsible for leading Alight’s thousands of service delivery colleagues, Maria is deeply knowledgeable when it comes to understanding the needs of Alight’s clients and how to better serve them. She thrives on creating an engaging environment for colleagues by embracing opportunities created through operational efficiencies using the latest technology, including robotics and automation.

Most recently, Maria was executive vice president, HR & Financial Solutions at Alight, where she led Alight’s cloud and hosted businesses in addition to supporting the shared services solutions that support them (tax, garnishments, talent, quality, analytics and automation). Maria started her career in benefits outsourcing at Alight’s predecessor companies where she held a number of operational and leadership roles. She was instrumental in Alight’s expansion into the HR business process outsourcing business and in defining and incubating the company’s entry into the middle market for health solutions.

Maria was recognized as one of Business Insurance’s 2012 Women to Watch.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ripon College.
