Matt has more than 16 years of experience in financial management. As Norwest’s Chief Financial Officer, he oversees the firm’s financial operations.

Before joining Norwest, Matt was the Chief Financial Officer at Watershed Asset Management, an SEC-registered investment adviser. At Watershed, Matt was responsible for the diverse business operations of the firm, managing over $1 billion across multiple hedge funds. Prior to that, he was fund controller at Highland Capital Partners, where he was part of a team responsible for the finance function for multiple venture capital and private equity funds. Matt previously held positions at Sowood Capital Management, Liberty Mutual Group, and Ernst & Young.

Matt holds a BBA with a major in accounting from the Mendoza College of Business Administration at the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Matt is a certified public accountant.
