Mr. Ruettgers has been a director of the Company since 2000. He served in various positions at EMC Corporation from 1988 until 2005. He served as Chairman from January 2004 to December 2005. From his retirement as Chief Executive Officer in 2001 until 2004, he served as Executive Chairman. Mr. Ruettgers served as CEO from 1992 to 2001 and as President from 1989 to 2000.
