Michel is Senior Staff Software Engineer for Payments at Airbnb. Born in Rio De Janeiro, he grew up in Israel and has been living in the San Francisco Bay Area with his family since 2002. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Psychology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MBA from Presidio School of Management. He has been writing code for over 30 years, working at both startups and large companies. He worked for PayPal, for several startups, worked on the NFC Wallet project at Google, and has been an engineer on the Airbnb payments team since 2014.
Aside from payments, which he has been deeply involved with for the last 14 years, his technical passions include code quality, engineering best practices, and web standards.
