Peter Hazlehurst is the CEO and Co-Founder at Synctera. He leads the product team at Uber responsible for Payments and Risk. Uber brings a magical experience to Riders, Eaters and Partners (Drivers, Couriers and Freighters) and moves money in 75+ countries. Uber lets customers pay with just about every method possible from Cash to Cards to PayTm, to Uber’s own wallet – Uber Cash and beyond and delivers funds to partners around the world to their bank accounts and/or with a Debit Card that accesses their earnings in real time. Every day millions of people depend on Uber to eat, ride and earn.

Peter has been in FinTech since 1993 when he joined Phoenix International as its first/lead engineer and built a core banking system on Windows and Sybase. Since then, Peter has worked in multiple startups in FinTech and consumer products including Nokia, Yodlee, and Google.

Peter has an MBA from the University of Maryland, College Park.
