Rafał Styczeń is the founder and main shareholder in IIF SA. Established 1999, IIF was one of the first venture capital funds in Poland.

During his work since 1993 Rafal founded and developed more than 7 well recognized companies, employing today more then 3.500 people, with revenues exceeding 1 bln zł, 2 of them publicly traded.
Leads IIF to acquire & develop best ventures and projects in information technology space.

In the years 2000-2008, IIF executed 17 investments in technology projects in early stages of development and executed 9 investment exits generating excellent financial results with an aggregated annual rate of return reaching 40%.

Rafał Styczeń gathered his experience on the information technology market since year 1993, when as a student of IT at AGH in Cracow he set up his first IT Company – Comarch. He is behind the success of companies like Comarch, BillBird (Moje Rachunki), SoftwareMind or Inteligo. This experience and knowledge now assists the endeavors developed within the IIF group, where since January 2000 he acts as president and managing director.

From 2002 to 2004, Rafał Styczeń managed the company BillBird, the creator and operator of MojeRachunki network, which was sold to the company Gtech in 2004. Moje Rachunki is an innovative technology enabling electronic payments of household bills. This project was created in whole by the Internet Investments Fund.
In 1994, before founding IIF, Rafał Styczeń was the co-founder and co-author of the success of Comarch SA – the company which is among the largest IT companies in Poland. During his activities in Comarch, Rafał Styczeń worked as vice-president, he prepared the company for IPO, and he was also head of research and development in the telecommunications department. Prior to the IPO of Comarch, he was president of the board for two years.
Rafal Styczeń has a master’s degree in computer science, AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow; in 1997 he completed postgraduate studies in Corporate Financial Management at the Warsaw School of Economics. In the years 1997/98 he attended Minnesota State University, Moorhead – an MBA program co-realized by the Warsaw School of Economics, while in 2005 he graduated Stanford University, Graduate School of Business EPGC- Executive Program for Growing Companies.
Rafał Styczeń has won numerous prizes. In 2000, he was laureate of Young Talented Businessman competition, organized by Rzeczpospolita and Alcat, and in 2001 a laureate of Businessman Magazine’s competition – Leader of new economy and information society.
