Beckie Robertson has over 23 years of venture capital and operating experience in medical products as an engineer, entrepreneur, corporate executive, and investor. She is the managing director of [Versant Ventures](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/versant-ventures#/entity), a healthcare-focused venture capital firm specialized in early-stage investments in medical devices, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, and healthcare information technology. Prior to Versant Ventures, she served as a general partner at Institutional Venture Partners.

Previously, Robertson was the vice president of business development at Chiron Diagnostics, where she led numerous deals in support of business and technology objectives of the company. Prior to joining Chiron, she was a co-founder and vice president at Egis, an IVP portfolio company, and held senior management positions in operations and finance at Lifescan, a Johnson & Johnson Company.

Robertson holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University.
